The Reed-Cooke Neighborhood Association (“RCNA”) is a grass-roots 501(c)(3) community organization dedicated to promoting the quality of life of the residents of the Reed-Cooke Neighborhood. Located in the heart of world-famous Adams Morgan, the Reed-Cooke neighborhood is the geographical area bounded by 18th Street on the west, Columbia Road on the north, 16th Street on the east, and U Street on the south. RCNA is comprised of dedicated volunteers. We hold meetings and sponsor events where residents can get to know each other, discuss issues impacting the community, and experience all that the neighborhood has to offer. Membership in RCNA is open to any resident of the Reed-Cooke neighborhood. Annual dues of $15 entitles you to vote on matters raised at our meetings.
After a period of hiatus, RCNA will be holding a special meeting on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11 am, for the proposed purposes of:
(i) Electing an Executive Board for the 2018 calendar year. (ii) Ratifying actions taken by Executive Board during the period of hiatus. (iii) Authorizing the Association to forego monthly meetings in 2018 in light of the fact that the Association will be holding meetings and otherwise deploying its efforts in the implementation of the Il Palazzo public benefit program. (iv) Amending the Association’s By-Laws to the extent necessary to permit actions (i), (ii), and (iii).
The Executive Board that is proposed for the 2018 calendar year is:
President: William Simpson First Vice President: Maureen Gallagher Second Vice President: Benedicte Aubrun Secretary: Jeff Wilkes Assistant Secretary: Vacant Treasurer: Peter Lyden Member-at-Large: Vacant Member Emeritus: Ed Jackson
This special meeting will be held at RCNA’s office located in the northeast corner of the Adams Alley building at 2410 17th Street NW. Any member of RCNA in good standing is welcome to attend and vote at the meeting. For further information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
